Meliorra LLC was asked by Allergen Inc. to change its name from Avotox. They decided to change the name to avoid any mix up in products. Avotone Wrinkle Relaxant Cream, Avotone LegSheen, and Avotone BodySculpt are all over the counter skin products that do not require a prescription in order to purchase them.
On the Avotone website there were no cases of skin irritation or side effects. Avotone Wrinkle Relaxant Cream, Avotone BodySculpt, and Avotone LegSheen are all products for the skin. Each product needs to be tested, for at least 48 hours, on a small patch of skin for possible side effects. If they cause redness or irritation or discomfort discontinue use and contact a physician or dermatologist. As with all skin care products some products do not work for some people
Avotone LegSheen will rinse off, if the area with the product on it is submerged in water for an extended period of time. Otherwise, it should last 8 to 12 hours.
Remember the Food & Drug Administration does not have to approve cosmetic products before they are put on the market. They are not intended to cure or prevent diseases. If the product is not touted as a medication then it does not go through rigorous FDA safety testing.
As per the Avotone website "All Avotone products have been safety tested and approved; However, some people may have known sensitivity and/or allergies." The website also proclaims that by using the Avotone Wrinkle Relaxant Cream after a cosmetic injection such as Botox may help prolong the life of the procedure.
