Possible Side Effects of MD Forte

Skin is a sensory organ that helps ward off diseases, manufactures vitamin D, and helps control body temperature. Skin covers the whole body and weighs approximately 9 pounds. It mainly acts as a barrier and should be treated with respect.
MD Forte products active ingredient is a glycolic acid compound which is relatively safe however it is an acid; too much can cause a burn. It is also possible to have a skin reaction to a chemical at any time. MD Forte does contain acid so consumers should use the product in moderation.
All skin is different so a reaction can occur in anyone. It is wise to apply the product to a small area to serve as a test. A mild reaction of the skin when using MD Forte may be sun sensitivity, flaking or mild irritation such as tingling, redness, or burning of the skin.
A severe skin reaction may cause severe burning or swelling which comes on suddenly. Other symptoms to look for would be abnormal swelling, difficulty breathing, or severe pain. If any of these reactions occur the affected area should be washed with water and a mild soap to gently cleanse the affected area. Then medical help should be obtained immediately.
Skin that is prone to scarring can be harmed by MD Forte products. A person with skin that is sensitive to alpha-hydroxy acid may experience mild sloughing of the skin which produces weeping and scabbing. This is rare. If scabs are picked than scarring may occur causing the skin to be either a lighter or darker pigmentation.
When skin undergoes an exfoliation process it will be drier and very prone to sun burn. To treat these problems extra moisturizer should be used to moisturize the skin and the skin should be protected from the suns harmful rays at all times. A sunscreen should be applied to treated skin. MD Forte offers both moisturizer and sunscreen products.
